Job summary

The Aerospace Corporation seeks a Senior Cybersecurity Engineer to lead teams delivering security across the system life cycle for space and defense programs. You will design, implement and monitor security measures, assess threats, and craft architectures that protect sensitive data and critical assets.

We require a BS in a related field and 10+ years in system security, plus the ability to obtain a US government security clearance.

Qualifications

BS degree in Computer Science, Systems Engineering, Cybersecurity, or related STEM field.
At least 10 years of system security or information security engineering experience.
Experience with security systems including firewalls, IDS, log management, and authentication.
Ability to obtain and maintain US government security clearance.

Responsibilities

Engineer, implement and monitor security measures for protection of computer systems and networks.
Provide cybersecurity expertise to government and stakeholders throughout the SDLC.
Identify security requirements and design computer security architectures.
Develop security policies, procedures and standard operating protocols.
Participate in risk management and vulnerability mitigation activities.
Review cybersecurity test procedures and participate in readiness activities.
Develop technical solutions and new security tools to mitigate vulnerabilities.
