Job summary

Vantor, a defense-focused space cybersecurity innovator, is seeking a Cybersecurity Engineer to strengthen national security by securing space-sensing systems across the lifecycle. The role requires designing, testing, and validating security controls on DoD programs and coordinating with engineers, operators, and mission stakeholders.

The ideal candidate has 7+ years of experience, secrecy clearance, and DoD 8140 Level II; bachelor’s in engineering or IT, with deep knowledge of RMF,

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience as a cybersecurity engineer on DoD programs.
• Experience providing input to RMF process activities and documentation.
• Experience planning and executing MBCRA and MBRA-C.
• Ability to develop threat scenarios for cyber test events.
• Knowledge of cybersecurity, privacy, networking concepts and protocols.
• DoD 8140 Level II Certification such as Security+ or equivalent.
• Secret clearance required.
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, IT, Information Assurance, or related field.

Responsibilities

• Test, analyze, evaluate, verify, and validate system performance while identifying vulnerabilities.
• Collaborate with engineers, operators, and mission stakeholders to integrate cybersecurity throughout the system life cycle.
• Translate emerging threats into practical security solutions to protect space-sensing capabilities.
