Job summary

The Aerospace Corporation is seeking a Sr. Project Engineer – Cybersecurity and Cloud Computing Architecture to join the Defense Systems Group and work on enterprise-wide security architecture for national security space programs.

The role requires leading cross-functional teams, defining security policies, and communicating with senior leaders. This on-site position at the Pentagon or Crystal City, VA, offers growth, a strong compensation package, and opportunities to contribute to space

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in STEM or related field.
8+ years of increasing responsibility in system security engineering.
Experience leading cross-functional technical teams and security initiatives.
Willing to travel domestically up to ~10% as required.
Ability to obtain/maintain U.S. government security clearance.
U.S. citizenship is required for clearance.

Responsibilities

Lead customer tasking for enterprise-wide security architecture concepts throughout the system development lifecycle.
Define approaches for developing security policies, standards, and governance frameworks.
Manage Aerospace Engineering Technology Group project teams for customer tasks.
Communicate security strategies, risks, and requirements to senior leadership.
Apply systems security engineering to understand threats and manage risk.
Leverage existing security architectures and reusable solutions for cost-effective customer outcomes.
