Job summary

Northrop Grumman is seeking a Structural Analysis Engineer – Level 3 or 4 to join the East Engineering Vehicle and Mechanical Engineering team. This 100% onsite role in Dulles or McLean, VA focuses on spacecraft structures, requiring a Top Secret clearance and hands-on analysis using NX FEMAP/NASTRAN, ABAQUS, or HYPERMESH.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in STEM with emphasis in structural analysis (preferred).
Active Top Secret clearance at time of application.
Experience with mechanical/structural analysis tools such as NX FEMAP/NASTRAN, ABAQUS or HYPERMESH.

Responsibilities

Perform static and dynamic structure analysis.
Review requirements for materials, structure systems & subsystems.
Select technical information and data from applicable products.
Determine design paths and compute engineering characteristics for space applications.
Release results as technical documents after senior review.
Develop innovative solutions and elaborate design concepts.
Evaluate designs with supervisors and other groups and modify as needed.
