Job summary

Rocket Lab Corporation in Silver Spring, MD is seeking an Aerospace Production Technician II/III to support the development and assembly of cutting-edge spaceflight hardware, including separation systems and on-orbit devices. You will perform precision assembly and assist with testing and maintenance of fixtures.

The role requires hands-on aerospace assembly experience, basic electronic circuitry knowledge, and the ability to work independently or with a team across varied shifts.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• 2+ years of hands-on aerospace assembly experience.
• Understanding basic electronic circuitry.
• 5+ years of hands-on aerospace assembly (for Technician III).

Responsibilities

• Perform precision assembly of aerospace mechanisms using established procedures.
• Operate spaceflight hardware and assembly fixtures using data acquisition systems and established procedures.
• Attach and remove components on spaceflight hardware.
• Inspect mechanical and electrical components.
• Solder space flight harnesses per the J-STD.
• Generate ideas for potential process improvements.
• Assist with non-conformance investigations.
