Job summary

Northrop Grumman is seeking a Production Planner and Scheduler – Level 3 or 4 to join our Space System team in Huntsville, AL. You will plan and control production schedules for cable assembly, machine shop, and integration, coordinating with QA, purchasing, engineering and other departments.

Qualified candidates hold a bachelor’s degree with 5+ years of production scheduling experience or 8+ years of relevant work and are proficient in MS Office, especially Excel and PowerPoint.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree with 5+ years experience in operations planning and production scheduling.
• Bachelor’s degree with 8+ years relevant work experience in operations planning and production scheduling.
• In lieu of degree, 4+ years relevant work experience.
• Experience in MS Office Applications (Excel and PowerPoint).
• Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD security clearance.
• US citizen.

Responsibilities

• Plans, prepares, issues and controls production schedules to meet production requirements.
• Advises management on status of work in progress, material availability, and problems.
• Schedules equipment and personnel; prepares work orders based on master production schedule.
• Coordinates inter-departmental activity with QA, manufacturing, purchasing, engineering, inventory control, traffic.
• Other tasks as assigned by management.
