Job summary

Anduril Industries is seeking a mission product designer to own spacecraft mission planning and command & control experiences. You’ll work with the Space team and space systems engineers to define elegant workflows and build across platforms, ensuring critical operator experiences are cohesive and scalable.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of product design, UX, or HCI experience.
• Ability to work independently on feature work.
• Deep expertise in visual and interaction design for complex workflows.
• Systems thinking to map journeys across user types.
• Strong prototyping skills for clarity in decisions.
• Ability to explain design decisions to engineers, PMs, and business teams.
• No defense experience required; diverse perspectives welcome.
• U.S. TS clearance with SCI eligibility.

Responsibilities

• Own spacecraft mission planning and command & control experiences from discovery to delivery, partnering with the Space team.
• Define design direction with guidance from a design lead and aim for reuse across programs.
• Lead discovery and validation with operators and stakeholders; synthesize findings into decisions for operator workflows.
• Familiarize with existing Mission Planning variants (Maritime and Aerial) to extend the design system for space.
• Shape product design integration with engineering and product management through prototyping and guidance.
• Create narratives, journey maps, user workflows, high fidelity mocks, and documentation.
