Job summary

Anduril Industries in Chantilly, VA seeks a Staff Systems Engineer to own end-to-end design, development, integration & test for spacecraft systems. You will maintain requirements, risks, budgets, and trade studies while interfacing with customers and internal teams.

Qualifications

• BS in aerospace, mechanical, CS or related engineering field.
• 13+ years engineering experience across spacecraft life cycle.
• 3+ years leading a systems engineering team on small spacecraft.
• Experience developing subsystem requirements and interfaces.
• Experience on mature spacecraft development programs with testing.
• Proven ability to create design artifacts and documentation.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to present artifacts.
• US citizen with ability to obtain Top Secret clearance.

Responsibilities

• Work with cross-functional team to design market-leading hardware products.
• Drive product maturity through rapid prototyping, design verification, and qualification activities.
• Apply space-flight hardware design standards to create high-reliability systems.
• Develop, track, and maintain system requirements and ensure subsystem compliance.
• Define, track, and maintain program risks and burn-down plans.
• Define, track, and maintain system budgets.
• Lead the team in establishing internal guidelines and best practices.
• Conduct peer-level and cross-discipline design reviews and develop customer-facing docs.
• Help drive development, integration and test activities to meet schedule.
• Work in a fast-paced environment with multiple concurrent projects.
