Job summary

Anduril Industries is seeking a senior Spacecraft Architect to design spacecraft and subsystems, lead multidisciplinary teams, and drive mission-critical testing across the life cycle.

You will mentor engineers, develop interfaces, plan tests, and perform hands-on build and bench testing, traveling as needed to support campaigns.

US citizenship and the ability to obtain a Top Secret clearance are required, with a focus on delivering robust space systems for national security missions.

Qualifications

• 25+ years of industry experience designing spacecraft and spacecraft subsystems
• 10+ years leading a team of engineers to deliver space flight hardware
• 10+ years designing spacecraft system architectures
• Familiarity with systems engineering, mechanical, electrical engineering and test campaigns
• Hands-on build and prototyping of spacecraft systems
• Knowledge of electronics troubleshooting and test equipment

Responsibilities

• Help design spacecraft and space system architectures
• Build conceptual designs of missions and payloads
• Lead multidisciplinary engineers throughout spacecraft design and integration
• Draft and develop test plans for critical subsystems and vehicle-level testing
• Develop interface controls for partners and customers for hardware and integration
• Support build and benchtop testing of new vehicle systems
• Support integration, testing, delivery, and operations of spacecraft subsystems
• Conduct hands-on spacecraft testing with occasional travel
• Participate in design reviews, integration and test campaigns, launch-site and on-orbit operations
• Mentor engineers to learn spacecraft design and testing best practices
• Assist with critical hardware demonstrations with customers
