Job summary

Anduril Industries is seeking a mission product designer to own spacecraft mission planning and command & control experiences. You will partner with the Space team designer to shape features as programs launch, while expanding into new capabilities for the space domain.

You will collaborate with space engineers, PMs, and operators, building on Anduril's Lattice design system to extend reuse and maintain high craft across high-stakes workflows in mission-critical environments.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in product design, UX, or HCI with high craft.
• Ability to work independently on feature-level work and resolve ambiguities.
• Deep expertise in visual and interaction design for complex technical workflows.
• Portfolio showing high craft quality and problem-solving across domains.
• Systems thinking to map journeys across multiple user types and contexts.
• Strong prototyping skills to drive design decisions.

Responsibilities

• Own spacecraft mission planning and command & control experiences from discovery to delivery.
• Define design direction within domain and reuse across programs.
• Lead discovery sessions with operators and stakeholders and synthesize findings.
• Familiarize with Mission Planning variants across Maritime and Aerial Autonomy.
• Collaborate with engineering and product management, prototype and guide implementation.
• Create narratives, journey maps, workflows, high-fidelity mocks, and documentation.
• Participate in team critique and share Anduril-wide design implementations.
• Work with design systems to evolve platform for space domain.
