Job summary

Qualifications

• B.S. in aerospace, mechanical, computer science or similar engineering or technical field.
• 13+ years engineering experience across the life cycle for spacecraft and space systems.
• 3+ years of leading a systems engineering team on small spacecraft.
• Experience developing subsystem requirements and interfaces; including mission systems.
• Experience developing design artifacts (CoDR/SDR/PDR/CDR/TRR), trade studies, risk matrices and burn-down plans.
• Outstanding communication skills for presenting developed artifacts.
• Must be a U.S. citizen and able to obtain/maintain a U.S. Top Secret clearance.

Responsibilities

• Work with cross-functional teams to design market-leading hardware products.
• Drive product maturity through rapid prototyping, design verification, and qualification activities.
• Apply space-flight hardware design standards to create high-reliability, manufacturable systems.
• Develop, track, and maintain system requirements and verify compliance across subsystems.
• Define and track program risks and burn-down plans.
• Define, track, and maintain system budgets.
• Lead the team in establishing internal guidelines for space flight hardware design, test, manufacture and operations.
• Conduct peer-level and cross-discipline design reviews and develop customer-facing design documentation.
• Help drive development, integration and test activities to meet schedule.
• Work in a fast-paced environment with multiple concurrent projects.
