Job summary

Anduril Industries is seeking a senior space systems engineer to join the Space Special Programs team in developing spacecraft and space systems architecture. You will lead multidisciplinary design efforts, draft test plans, and drive integration across electrical, mechanical, and software domains while mentoring engineers and engaging in hands-on build and test campaigns.

Qualifications

• 25+ years of industry experience designing spacecraft and spacecraft subsystems and participating in integration and operation campaigns.
• 10+ years designing spacecraft system architectures.
• 10+ years leading a team of engineers to deliver space flight hardware.
• Familiarity with systems, mechanical, electrical engineering and integration/test campaigns.
• Proven track record from design to functioning hardware.
• Hands-on build and prototyping of spacecraft systems.
• Commitment to mission-focused, rapid development and delivery.

Responsibilities

• Help design spacecraft and space system architectures.
• Build conceptual designs of missions and payloads.
• Work within a multidisciplinary team throughout design and integration.
• Manage engineering efforts and interface between disciplines.
• Draft test plans for subsystems and support vehicle acceptance testing.
• Develop interface controls for partners and customers for hardware integration.
• Support build, bench testing and operations of spacecraft systems.
• Conduct hands-on spacecraft testing and occasional travel.
• Participate in design reviews and test campaigns.
• Mentor engineers and share lessons learned.
