Job summary

CesiumAstro, a leader in spacecraft communication systems, seeks a Principal Electrical Engineer to define enterprise engineering strategies and guide product architectures across programs. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams across electrical, mechanical, software, and manufacturing disciplines to address complex challenges and ensure mission success.

Your role includes mentoring senior engineers, establishing design standards, and driving continuous improvement in engineering

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical/ Electronics/ Computer Engineering or related field.
• 15–19 years of related experience (Bachelor's) or 12–17 years (Master's).
• Expert understanding of signal integrity, EMI/EMC, hardware integration, and system interfaces.
• Proven ability to evaluate enterprise design performance and guide strategic engineering decisions.
• Proficient in EDA tools (Altium, OrCAD) and circuit simulation (LTspice, MATLAB).

Responsibilities

• Define enterprise engineering strategies, architectures, and roadmaps.
• Lead and mentor design teams across systems, subsystems, and components.
• Achieve high-quality engineering execution and reduce friction between orgs.
• Provide post-production/in-orbit customer support.
• Mentor senior engineers and drive continuous improvement in engineering practices.
