CesiumAstro is seeking a Principal Electrical Engineer to define enterprise hardware strategies and guide architecture across products and platforms. You will work cross-functionally with electrical, mechanical, software, and manufacturing teams to resolve design challenges and drive mission success.

The role emphasizes mentoring senior engineers, shaping standards, and providing technical leadership to executive leadership on complex initiatives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's in electrical/electronics/computer engineering with 15–19 years of related experience, or Master's with 12–17 years.
• Expert understanding of signal integrity, EMI/EMC, hardware integration, qualification testing, and system interfaces.
• Proven ability to define enterprise hardware development and fabrication strategies.
• Proficient in EDA, circuit simulation, and analysis tools (Altium, OrCAD, LTspice, MATLAB).
• Strong written/verbal communication; able to advise executive leadership.

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor teams across design, manufacturing, and test activities.
• Define enterprise engineering strategies, architectures, and roadmaps.
• Direct high-stakes design decisions for multiple programs.
• Ensure design practices meet reliability, manufacturability, and quality targets.
• Collaborate with cross-functional groups to reduce friction and improve execution.
• Provide post-production and in-orbit technical support.
