Job summary

CesiumAstro is a developer of out-of-the-box communication systems for satellites, UAVs, launch vehicles, and other space platforms. We seek a Staff Electrical Engineer to lead electrical systems from concept through production and flight.

You will design spacecraft electronics, manage interfaces, and drive architecture trades while supporting test, qualification, and in-orbit operations for our rideshare satellite program.

Qualifications

• BS in Electrical or Computer Engineering from an accredited university.

Responsibilities

• Direct technical definition, implementation, and verification of satellite avionics systems.
• Interface between the technical team and systems engineering.
• Define and maintain subsystem architecture and interfaces.
• Conduct make/buy trades.
• Architect and design in-house solutions.
• Make decisions to drive hardware iterations.
• Prepare and deliver technical communications to leadership.
• Deliver reliable, space avionics system for spaceflight missions.
