Job summary

The Aerospace Corporation is seeking a Graduate Intern to work full-time onsite at El Segundo, CA or Chantilly, VA. You will assist in modeling, simulation, and analysis to support space communication and ground architectures.

Ideal candidates are enrolled in an MS or PhD program with coursework in modeling/simulation and are proficient in Python, C++, or MATLAB. US citizenship and ability to obtain a security clearance are required. Pay is hourly, with benefits typical of the program.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled full-time in an MS or PhD degree program in aerospace engineering, electrical engineering, systems engineering, mathematics, or related field.
• Availability to work full-time for a minimum of 10 weeks outside the university term.
• Knowledge or coursework in modeling, simulation, or analysis in a relevant technical domain.
• Experience with Python, C++, or MATLAB.

Responsibilities

• Work closely with Aerospace technical staff to provide analysis driving recommendations for research, development, and acquisition decisions for legacy and future customer architectures.
• Collaborate with Aerospace personnel locally and at other corporate locations.
• Perform end-to-end performance evaluations and AoA analyses using in-house tools.
• Support development and sustainment of modeling and simulation tools and capabilities.
• Develop and present timely, technically accurate presentations and reports to technical leads, management, and customers.
