Job summary

The Aerospace Corporation invites students to join the Enterprise Effects Division for an internship focused on developing and maturing analysis software tools used in space mission design, orbital maneuvers, and space domain awareness. You will work on modeling, simulation, and integration efforts supporting national space programs.

Ideal candidates are pursuing MS or PhD in a STEM field with 3.0+ GPA, can work full-time for at least 10 weeks, and are capable of obtaining a TS/SCI clearance.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a MS or PhD in aerospace engineering, physics, applied mathematics, or other STEM field.
• Availability to work full-time for a minimum of 10 weeks outside of university term.
• Proficiency with one or more of the following languages/tools: C, C++, Python, Fortran, MATLAB.
• Minimum GPA of 3.0.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a Top Secret/SCI security clearance (US citizenship required).
• Transcripts required for this position.

Responsibilities

• Develop and mature analysis software tools for modeling, simulation, and analysis in space mission design, orbital maneuvers, orbit estimation, and space domain awareness for RPO objectives.
• Conduct analyses of system performance and architecture alternatives.
• Interact with Aerospace personnel locally and at other locations.
