Job summary

The Aerospace Corporation seeks a talented intern for the Enterprise Effects Division,RAID, focusing on RPO modeling and space-domain awareness. You will support the development of analysis tools for mission design, orbit estimation, and system performance evaluation.

Ideal candidates are pursuing an MS or PhD in STEM, can commit 10+ weeks full-time, and can work in a team-based environment with US citizenship eligibility for a TS/SCI clearance.

Qualifications

• Pursuing MS or PhD in aerospace engineering, physics, applied mathematics, or other STEM-related discipline; or senior class standing by internship start date.
• Availability to work full-time for a minimum of 10 weeks outside of university term and return to degree program after completion.
• Proficiency with C, C++, Python, Fortran, MATLAB.
• Minimum GPA of 3.0
• Ability to obtain and maintain a Top Secret/SCI security clearance; US citizenship required
• Transcripts required for this position

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with Aerospace staff to develop analysis software for modeling, simulation, and analysis in areas like space mission design and orbit estimation.
• Analyze system performance and architecture alternatives.
• Interact with local Aerospace personnel and other locations.
