Job summary

Blue Origin LLC is seeking a senior Manufacturing Engineer to collaborate with design and production teams across facilities. The role emphasizes design for manufacturability, process sequencing, and tooling design to enable rapid, reliable fabrication of complex aerostructure hardware.

The ideal candidate has 8+ years in aerospace manufacturing, strong CAD/GD&T skills, and experience with PLM/MES systems, and excels in cross-functional collaboration across geographies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in an engineering discipline.
• 8+ years in manufacturing with complex products.
• Experience with PLM and MES enterprise products.
• Authoring work orders, SOPs, and process maps.
• Knowledge of machining, welding, coatings, additive manufacturing, metrology.
• Ability to sequence manufacturing processes for detail parts.
• Strong communication and teamwork across geographies.
• Proficient in CAD and GD&T.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with engineering during design, development, and hardware delivery.
• Coordinate cross-functional delivery of complex engineered products and tools.
• Champion the build process with internal customers and manufacturing plans.
• Provide guidance on design for manufacturing and process sequencing.
• Review drawings and approve manufacturing of complex parts.
• Write work orders and outline manufacturing operations.
• Balance technical detail with streamlined downstream processes.
