Job summary

The Aerospace Corporation in Chantilly, VA is seeking a graduate student or early-career professional to join our Systems Engineering Division (SED) as part of the System Realization Subdivision (SRS) team. You will contribute to mission-critical systems engineering, MBSE modeling, and test planning across satellite, ground, and space infrastructure programs.

Responsibilities include supporting system architecture, design studies, requirements traceability, and test campaigns, with opportunities

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in an accredited graduate program in a relevant field.
• Minimum GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale.
• Knowledge of complex system design, integration, or analysis.
• Proficiency with MS Office and collaboration tools.

Responsibilities

• Lead and support systems engineering and integration planning across interfaces and test campaigns.
• Assist with space constellation/architecture studies and full lifecycle program support.
• Develop tools/models used in MBSE, spacecraft design, and test activities.
• Apply systems engineering to requirements analysis, architecture, and risk assessment.
• Perform MBSE-based system modeling and traceability within SysML.
• Collaborate with staff, program offices, and interns.
