Job summary

L3Harris Technologies in Palm Bay, FL seeks an Integration & Test Engineer to lead hands-on hardware integration and production testing for space programs. You will develop integration instructions, support manufacturing planning, and drive process improvements that enhance quality and throughput.

You will provide day-to-day leadership for technician teams, mentor staff, and coordinate readiness reviews and environmental testing to ensure successful space‑level verification and validation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in a relevant field.
• Ability to obtain TS/SCI clearance.
• Experience leading integration and test of space hardware is preferred.
• Proven ability to develop instructions and plans for manufacturing and testing.

Responsibilities

• Lead integration and test activities for sub‑component hardware and system builds.
• Develop detailed mechanical integration work instructions for technicians.
• Create and maintain manufacturing and test plans for production needs.
• Estimate costs, establish time standards, and recommend tooling and processes.
• Support assembly operations and drive continuous improvements with engineering partners.
• Apply Lean Six Sigma to identify improvements and optimize throughput.
• Participate in environmental and functional tests, including space‑level integration.
• Provide day‑to‑day leadership for technician and engineering teams.
• Mentor staff and document nonconformances with root‑cause analysis.
• Support proposals, Basis of Estimate development, and readiness reviews.
• Plan major integration/test events and provide leadership updates.
