Job summary

The Aerospace Corporation is seeking Embedded Systems / Software Engineering Undergraduate Interns to join the Information Systems and Cyber Division (ISCD). The role is full-time and onsite at El Segundo, CA or Chantilly, VA, working on a simulated space system and software stack.

You will develop prototype software in Python, Java and C to operate on space and ground elements, collaborate with an interdisciplinary team, and participate in ongoing research and programs with academic partners.

Qualifications

• Enrolled full-time in a CS/CE or related degree program.
• Available to work 10 weeks+ full-time and return to degree program after internship.
• Experience with Python, C/C++, or Java.
• Experience with cloud services such as AWS or Azure.
• Must obtain U.S. government security clearance; U.S. citizenship required.
• Transcripts required.

Responsibilities

• Participates in software design & implementation of a simulated space system.
• Develops prototype software in Python, Java & C.
• Collaborates with interdisciplinary teams and partners.
• Applies standard techniques to prescribed tasks.
• Training and mentorship will be provided.
