Job summary

CesiumAstro is seeking Summer 2027 interns to design embedded software for satellite communication systems. Interns will work with engineers on low-level and high-level software across space electronics products, focusing on microcontroller programming, BSPs, end-use applications, and UI development.

Applicants must be enrolled in BS/MS/PhD programs in CS/EE/CE with a 3.5+ GPA, experience in C/C++, and strong written and verbal communication skills. All internships are onsite and compensated.

Qualifications

• Current enrollment in BS/MS/PhD in CS, EE or CE.
• GPA of 3.5 or higher.
• Advanced coursework in embedded systems.
• Programming in C or C++.
• Familiarity with configuration management and defect tracking.
• Excellent written and verbal communication.

Responsibilities

• Design embedded software for satellite communication systems.
• Collaborate with CesiumAstro engineers on low and high level software.
• Work on microcontroller programming, BSP, and user interfaces.
• Present work to peers, mentors, and leadership.
