Job summary

CesiumAstro in Texas is seeking Summer 2027 embedded software development interns to design software for satellite communication systems. You will work closely with Cesium engineers on low- and high-level software, including microcontroller programming, drivers, BSPs, end-use applications, and user interfaces.

Interns present their work to peers, mentors, and leadership; strong written and verbal communication is required.

Qualifications

• Current enrollment in a BS, MS, or PhD program in CS, Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering from an accredited university.
• GPA of 3.5 or higher.
• Advanced coursework in embedded systems.
• Programming experience in C or C++.
• Familiarity with software configuration management tools, defect tracking tools, and peer review.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Design embedded software for satellite communication systems.
• Work on low-level drivers, BSPs, end-use applications, and user interfaces.
• Collaborate with Cesium engineers and present work to peers, mentors, and leadership.
