Northrop Grumman’s Space Sector seeks an Electrical Engineer / Principal Electrical Engineer – Level 2 or Level 3 to join our team in Redondo Beach, CA. This 100% onsite role focuses on EGSE design, development, procurement, and test equipment management for spacecraft flight hardware.

Responsibilities include planning EGSE readiness for I&T campaigns, supporting test operations, and addressing complex technical challenges.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related STEM field with 2 years of professional experience for Level 2, or Master’s with 0 years; Level 3 with 5/3/1 depending on degree.
Active DoD Secret clearance at time of application, current and within scope.
Ability to learn and integrate new programming languages or web-based tools.
Domestic or international travel to support launch campaigns may be required.
Extended shifts, shift work, and weekend work to support testing will be required periodically.

Responsibilities

Procuring and managing EGSE, test racks, test equipment, test aids, harnesses, and piece parts.
Preparation and planning for short and long term integration and test activities requiring test equipment.
Understanding electrical circuits, hardware, and software, and applying electrical engineering principles.
Understanding EGSE functionality and limitations as related to test requirements.
Supporting EGSE or electronics assembly, integration, checkouts, calibrations/validations, and troubleshooting/debugging.
Providing solutions to a variety of technical problems of increasing scope and complexity as assigned.
