Job summary

Northrop Grumman in Redondo Beach, CA seeks a Staff Electrical Engineer – Level 5 for 100% onsite work. You will design, develop, and execute test procedures using spacecraft commands, telemetry, and ground support equipment, with direct contact to satellite hardware.

Responsibilities include I&T tool development, test execution across units, and collaboration with program teams. A Secret clearance and DoD experience are preferred for this role.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in STEM with 12+ years experience or Master’s with 10+ years or PhD with 8+ years.
• Active U.S. Government Secret security clearance at time of application.
• Experience in Aerospace/Defense with system-level integration and test.
• Strong computer and programming skills.
• Willingness to travel as required.

Responsibilities

• Understand complex electrical circuits and software within flight hardware and test equipment.
• Develop Integration & Test tools, scripts, procedures, specifications, and limits.
• Execute unit-, subsystem-, and system-level testing; monitor tests and document activities.
• Support test anomaly troubleshooting, root-cause analysis, corrective actions, and nonconformance for hardware/software testing.
• Participate in program reviews (ERBs, TRRs, FRBs, etc.).
• Coordinate with ITEE leads and managers to complete tasks.
