Job summary

Northrop Grumman in Gilbert, AZ is seeking an Electronic Ground Support Equipment (EGSE) Engineer at Level 3/4 to join a team interfacing with spacecraft subsystem engineers. You will design test equipment, test plans, and CTE/ATE systems for space vehicle components, collaborating with hardware and software engineers to validate UUT under various conditions, including thermal vacuum.

Qualifications

  • 5 years of experience with Bachelors in STEM; 3 years with Masters; 1 year with PhD
  • Ability and willingness to obtain a Government Clearance
  • Experience documenting and developing cable drawings/wiring diagrams
  • Experience designing test hardware
  • Fundamental understanding of electrical circuit schematics

Responsibilities

  • Developing requirements for the hardware unit under test (UUT) and test plans.
  • Developing the test equipment for CTE/ATE systems and verifying the UUT.
  • Designing component test equipment and automated test systems for space vehicle components.
  • Ensuring the CTE/ATE system meets technical, cost, and schedule constraints.
  • End-to-end design, debug, test, and certification of CTE/ATE systems.
  • Documenting development and release procedures for test equipment.
  • Supporting test and debugging of flight and non-flight spacecraft electronics.
