Job summary

Northrop Grumman is seeking a Principal Electrical Test Engineer – Level 3 for its Space Sector in Redondo Beach, CA. This 100% onsite role requires a Secret clearance and supports a 9/80 schedule with every other Friday off.

Travel up to 50% is expected, and the candidate will lead testing across complex payload subsystems. The ideal candidate has a STEM degree with 5+ years of experience or advanced degrees with fewer years, plus hands-on experience in test scripting and team leadership.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a STEM field with 5+ years of experience, or Master’s with 3+ years, or PhD with 1+ year.
• Requires active U.S. Government Secret clearance or ability to obtain one.
• Experience with Integration and Test campaigns and Telemetry, Tracking & Commanding subsystems.

Responsibilities

• Synthesize customer needs into system test solutions within constraints.
• Utilize test infrastructure to dry run and execute system-level verification.
• Collaborate across disciplines to refine requirements, interfaces, and test methodologies.
• Lead a technical team and troubleshoot HW/SW configuration issues.
• Generate test products and automated test scripts for system testing.
• Maintain processes for assembly, integration, and test of space systems.
