Job summary

Lunar Outpost in Golden, Colorado, is seeking a Configuration Manager to maintain CI data, implement CMPs, and lead CM baselines in a fast-paced startup environment. You will ensure engineering docs, BOMs, and verified designs stay traceable, interfacing with systems engineering, supply chain, and quality teams.

The ideal candidate has a bachelor’s in a relevant field and 7+ years in configuration management or DevOps within aerospace or defense, with hands-on CM tools (Windchill, Jira, Bild)

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Computer Science, or related discipline.
• 7+ years of configuration management, DevOps, or Systems Administration in the aerospace or defense industry.
• Experience with Configuration Management tools (Windchill, Jira, Bild) and version control systems.
• Self-motivated, focused, and driven to meet critical deadlines.
• Excellent organization and time management skills.

Responsibilities

• Ensure all engineering documentation, drawings, bills of material (BOMs), and as-built configurations are accurately maintained and traceable
• Interface with systems engineering, supply chain, and quality teams to ensure consistency between hardware configurations and verified designs
• Manage functional and physical configuration audits (FCAs and PCAs) and prepare required reports and verification documentation
