Job summary

Lunar Outpost is seeking a Configuration Manager to shape the future of space-related engineering. You will monitor, maintain, and report on CI data accuracy, and lead change control activities to ensure design integrity across hardware and software configurations.

The role requires a strong engineering background, 7+ years in CM/devops in aerospace or defense, and hands-on CM tooling experience. Excellent communication and organizational skills are essential for success in a fast-paced startup

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or computer science related discipline.
• 7+ years in configuration management, DevOps, or systems administration in aerospace/defense.
• Experience with CM tools (Windchill, Jira) and version control systems.
• Self-motivated, organized, and deadline-driven.
• Excellent written and spoken communication skills.
• U.S. Person with ability to obtain needed clearances.

Responsibilities

• Maintain accuracy and traceability of all configuration data for CIs.
• Lead implementation, documentation, and approval of configuration changes; run CCB meetings.
• Develop CMPs and operate CM baselines; interface with Eng, supply chain, and quality teams.
• Conduct FCAs and PCAs and prepare required reports and documentation.
