Job summary
Lockheed Martin Space is seeking an experienced Systems Engineer Associate Manager for Configuration Management. You will lead CM efforts, manage resources, and guide the CM team through the full engineering lifecycle—from architecture and requirements to system operations and integration.
Requirements include a technical degree and 3–5 years in CM with leadership experience; familiarity with PDM tools such as Windchill or Teamcenter is essential.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in technical, engineering, business or related field.
- 3–5 years of hands-on configuration management in engineering.
- Experience leading a small team or as a functional CM lead.
Responsibilities
- Lead Program CM efforts: direction, planning, staffing.
- Manage CM resources for programs and provide programmatic support.
- Guide CM team across lifecycle processes from design to operation.
- Oversee critical CM skill development within programs.
- Staffing and performance activities with HR processes.
- Leverage leadership to deliver on programs.
- Execute CM tasking including CDRL, reviews, and audits.
