Job summary

Impulse Space is seeking a Software Infrastructure and Release Intern for Summer 2027 in Redondo Beach, CA. The role focuses on designing and maintaining deployment environments for spacecraft flight and ground software, working with CI/CD pipelines, and enabling automated tests.

The position runs 12 weeks from May/June to August/September 2027, with on-site work requirements and potential overtime. Candidates should be enrolled in CS/CE, with Linux and scripting experience.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in a bachelor's or master's program in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field.
• Experience with Linux operating systems.
• Experience with CI/CD tools (e.g. Gitlab, Github, etc).
• Knowledge of the git version control system and gitflow.
• Experience in Bash, Python, and/or other scripting languages.

Responsibilities

• Work closely with the Software and GNC teams to develop and improve our build, test and deployment git CI pipelines.
• Troubleshoot and debug issues related to Hardware in the Loop systems, including hardware, software, and test setup.
• Utilize test automation tools and frameworks to streamline software build, test execution, data collection, and result analysis.
• Bring up monitoring and data analysis in support of a continuous integration and release system.
