Impulse Space is seeking a Ground Software Engineering Intern for Summer 2027 to help build software enabling command, telemetry, and control of spacecraft. You will collaborate with flight software, GNC, and mission operators to automate workflows and develop reliable backend services.
This 12‑week internship runs May/June to August/September 2027 and requires on-site work in Redondo Beach, CA. Strong Python/JavaScript skills and experience with modern frameworks are preferred.

As a Ground Software Intern, your core responsibility will be to write software that enables efficient command, telemetry, and control of spacecraft. You will collaborate closely with flight software engineers, GNC, and mission operators, to automate operations workflows, build intuitive UIs, and develop reliable backend services.
*This internship is 12 weeks long from May/June to August/September of 2027.
Compensation bands are determined by role, level, location, and alignment with market data. Individual level and base pay is determined on a case-by-case basis and may vary based on job-related skills, education, experience, technical capabilities and internal equity. In addition to base salary, for full-time hires, you may also be eligible for long-term incentives, in form of stock options, and access to medical, vision & dental coverage as well as access to a 401(k) retirement plan.
