Job summary

Impulse Space in Redondo Beach seeks an Assembly, Integration, and Test (AI&T) Engineering Intern for Summer 2027. This 12-week program offers hands-on experience across fluid, mechanical, and electrical test activities to support high-performance spacecraft testing.

You will contribute to one of several teams—Automation & Controls, Integration, Development Test, or Test Automation—while developing CAD and fabrication skills, and documenting test outcomes.

Qualifications

• Working toward a Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Science or related field.
• Hands-on experience with fluid or mechanical systems and components.
• Ability to work cross-functionally and own project elements.

Responsibilities

• Design and build test systems for propulsion and spacecraft testing.
• Collaborate with teams across Redondo Beach and Mojave.
• Perform test setup, inspections, checkouts, and troubleshooting.
• Write work instructions, test plans, and critical documentation.
• Develop tooling and fixturing for assembly and transport.
• Advance methods to accelerate vehicle build and test cycles.
