Job summary

L3Harris Technologies, Inc. in San Diego, CA is seeking an Engineering Technician C to support the design and manufacturing of Special Test Equipment (STE) for Space Telemetry and RF Products.

As a Test Engineering Technician, you will assemble cables, PWAs, and RF equipment for automated test racks, and perform design verification testing and troubleshooting with the production test teams. This role requires a High School Diploma with 6 years of related experience or an Associate's Degree with

Qualifications

• Requires a High School Diploma or equivalent and a minimum of 6 years of prior relevant experience.
• 2 years post-Secondary/Associates Degree with a minimum of 2 years of prior related experience.
• Demonstrated familiarity with RF parameters (bandwidth, S-parameters) and basic analog/digital circuit parameters.
• Soldering certification or ability to obtain one.
• Reading and interpreting electrical schematics and assembly drawings.

Responsibilities

• Build automated test racks and other special test equipment (STE).
• Independently perform verification testing of circuit cards and higher-level STE assemblies.
• Troubleshoot STE hardware and cables to the component level.
• Write and modify verification test procedures with minimal engineering assistance.
• Build and assemble cables and PWAs for use with STE equipment.
