Job summary

L3Harris Technologies in San Diego, CA is seeking a senior RF Design Engineer to drive RF/microwave product development for tracking, telemetry, and command systems used in airborne and space environments.

The role requires strong MS/BS credentials, 6+ years experience (or 4+ with MS), and the ability to obtain a DoD security clearance. You will lead design, testing, and mentoring within a fast-paced, collaborative team.

Qualifications

• BS in Electrical Engineering or equivalent with ≥6 years of experience, or MS with ≥4 years.
• Experience in RF/microwave design for airborne/space applications.
• Ability to obtain and maintain DoD security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Lead RF/microwave product development including circuit card and subsystem design.
• Conduct design verification testing and document results.
• Mentor early career engineers and lead trade studies for technical decisions.
• Perform simulations, select components, and review design approaches.
