Job summary

L3Harris Technologies in San Diego, CA is seeking an experienced Engineering Technician to support the design and manufacturing of Special Test Equipment (STE) for Space Telemetry and RF products. You will assemble cables, PWAs, and RF equipment, and integrate them into automated test racks.

As a Test Engineering Technician, you will perform design verification testing, troubleshoot STE hardware, and liaise between engineering and production test teams. A DOD security clearance may be required.

Qualifications

• Requires a High School Diploma or equivalent with 6+ years of related experience or 2 years post-secondary/Associates with 2+ years of related experience.
• Experience assembling cables, PWAs, RF equipment and test racks.
• Ability to read electrical schematics and assembly drawings.
• Experience with design verification testing and troubleshooting.

Responsibilities

• Build automated test racks and other STE.
• Perform verification testing of circuit cards and STE assemblies.
• Troubleshoot STE hardware and cables to component level.
• Write/modify verification test procedures with minimal guidance.
• Assemble cables and PWAs for STE use.
• Provide STE field support including hardware/software configuration.
