Job summary

Amentum Space Exploration Division seeks a senior RF engineer to provide analysis, simulation, and development support for space-based RF communication systems. The role requires active US security clearance and US citizenship, with work across DoD and NASA interfaces.

You will analyzeTransmitters, receivers, antennas, and perform trade studies, margin analyses, and design reports while mentoring early-career engineers.

Qualifications

• ABET-accredited EE degree and 15+ years in antenna/RF design, testing, and evaluation.
• PhD with 9+ years experience; MS with 13+ years; BS with 15+ years are acceptable alternatives.
• Active or ability to obtain US security clearance and US citizenship required.

Responsibilities

• Provide RF analysis, simulation, and development support for space-based RF communication systems.
• Analyze existing transmitters, receivers, and antenna designs.
• Support test campaigns in internal and external laboratories.
• Generate RF subsystem trade studies and link margin analyses.
• Write or collaborate on communications system design and analysis reports.
• Participate in project milestone reviews with customers and stakeholders.
• Mentor early-career and internship engineers.
• Interact with NASA facilities and other US Government customers as required.
• Coordinate requirements reviews and data reviews.
