Job summary

Amentum Space Exploration Division (ASED) is seeking a seasoned RF engineer to provide RF analysis, simulation, and development support for space-based communication systems. Candidates must be U.S. citizens with an active or potential clearance.

Responsibilities include antenna/ transmitter analysis, trade studies, and collaboration on design reports. Mentors junior engineers and works with Moon Base/Deep Space networks; travel within the USA is possible.

Qualifications

• ABET-accredited EE degree required, multiple paths with years of experience accepted.
• PhD with at least 4 years, MS with 8+ years, or BS with 10–15 years experience in RF systems.
• U.S. citizenship and active or potential security clearance required.

Responsibilities

• Provide RF analysis of transmitters, receivers, and antennas.
• Participate in requirements and data reviews, provide inputs and comments.
• Support test campaigns in internal and external labs.
• Create RF subsystem trade studies and analyses reports.
• Perform link margin analyses under various protocols and conditions.
• Prepare design/analyses reports in collaboration with teams.
• Attend milestone reviews with customers and stakeholders.
• Lead meetings to maintain knowledge base on design and issues.
• Perform RF interference/compatibility analyses.
• Mentor early-career and internship engineers.
