Job summary

The U.S. Department of Commerce's Workplace Strategy & Design Management Division seeks qualified candidates for a position requiring extensive experience in real property planning and project management.

The role emphasizes surveys, space optimization, and coordination with stakeholders to ensure efficient use of space in federal facilities. You will evaluate programs, manage projects from initiation to completion, and prepare cost analyses to support long-range space development and expansion

Qualifications

• Specialized experience for this position includes:
• Experience independently conducting surveys and site inspections related to construction and renovation projects.
• Experience planning and implementing projects to promote efficient use of space to include construction management, site organization and customer coordination.
• Experience serving as a Project Manager responsible for small-to-large projects from initiation to completion; and
• Experience preparing cost analysis to support budget projections for long-range space or expansion plans.
• Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social).
