Job summary

NYC Department of Environmental Protection (DEP) is seeking an Administrative Space Analyst to lead design services for agency spaces, renovate offices and warehouses, and optimize the DEP space portfolio. The role involves coordinating with Architectural staff, Construction Services, and client bureaus to ensure projects meet DCAS Space Standards, budgets, and schedules.

Ideal candidates will have extensive experience with space planning, cost estimating, and furniture coordination.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in architecture, interior architecture or related field, with space planning experience.
• Experience with city processes, DCAS Space Standards, leasing processes, and cost estimating is preferred.
• Strong supervisory and leadership capabilities are required for managing architectural staff and projects.

Responsibilities

• Guide architectural staff in programming agency needs per DCAS Space Standards.
• Evaluate design inputs and coordinate with Construction Services staff.
• Oversee development of plans, documents and staff directions to meet goals.
• Manage furniture, office equipment procurement and coordination for renovations.
• Assist in strategic DEP space planning and workplace strategies.
• Coordinate with client bureaus, Budget/Purchasing Units on schedules and budgets.
• Coordinate with Construction Services and safety task forces for project execution.
