Job summary

Jobot seeks a Power Design Engineer in Greenwood Village, CO, to design space-grade power electronics boards and develop schematics in the OrCAD suite. You will lead PCB layout reviews and create robust control interfaces for FPGA or microprocessor systems.

The ideal candidate has a Bachelor’s in Electrical Engineering and 5+ years of space power electronics experience, with strong collaboration skills and a focus on reliability.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering.
• Minimum 5 years developing power electronics for space systems.
• Proficiency with OrCAD schematics/documentation.
• Experience with FPGA/microcontroller interfaces.
• Experience in hardware test and reliability for space applications.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and test power electronics boards for space-based electrical power systems.
• Create schematics and documentation using the OrCAD tool suite.
• Manage PCB layout and design reviews with layout engineers.
• Develop FPGA, microcontroller, or microprocessor-based control interfaces.
• Support hardware test, verification, and troubleshooting at unit/subsystem level.
• Lead electronics design efforts through the product lifecycle.
• Assist in component selection for space applications including derating and radiation considerations.
• Collaborate with systems, manufacturing, and test engineering teams to ensure quality.
