Job description

We are working with one of the most exciting Space companies in the market that are looking for a Senior Power Electronics Engineer to design, test, and analyze custom electronic hardware for advanced aerospace applications.

You will own hardware development throughout the entire product lifecycle, from concept development and schematic capture through board bring-up, verification, qualification, production, integration, and operational support.

The ideal candidate brings strong technical depth in electronics and power systems design, along with the ability to drive projects forward in a fast-paced development environment.

Responsibilities:

• Design and develop custom electronic hardware for mission-critical applications
• Lead hardware development from concept through production and operational deployment
• Perform board bring-up, validation, debugging, and data analysis
• Support qualification testing and reliability assessment for harsh operating environments
• Collaborate closely with mechanical, thermal, software, manufacturing, and systems engineering teams
• Contribute to design reviews, technical trade studies, and integration efforts
• Drive hardware projects to meet technical, schedule, and reliability requirements

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field
• 5+ years of experience designing electronics for harsh-environment or mission-critical systems such as aerospace, defense, robotics, automotive, or industrial applications
• Experience with board-level hardware design from concept through manufacturing
• Experience with hardware bring-up, validation, troubleshooting, and debugging
• Familiarity with eCAD tools such as Altium, Cadence, or similar
• Strong cross-functional communication and collaboration skills

Desirable Qualifications (not essential)

• Experience with embedded software integration for hardware systems
• Experience designing for reliability and manufacturability
• Technical expertise in one or more of the following areas:
• Motor drives and controls
• Load switches
• High-voltage DC electronics
• Experience working in aerospace, defense, or other highly regulated industries
