Job summary

Redwire Space Missions, LLC in Littleton, CO is seeking an Electrical Design Engineer at all senior levels to design and analyze space-qualified power electronics hardware, including DC/DC converters and GaN devices. You will use OrCAD to create schematics and guide PCB layout with other engineers.

The role requires hands-on circuit design, SPICE simulations, and collaboration across systems, manufacturing and test to ensure flight readiness and mission success.

Qualifications

• BS degree in Electrical Engineering required; MS preferred.
• 5+ years with electronic circuit design for space or high-reliability systems.
• Experience with analog SMPS, GaN devices, and radiation-tolerant design.
• Proficiency with ECAD tools and SPICE-based simulation.
• Ability to travel up to 10% for program needs.

Responsibilities

• Design and analyze high-efficiency DC/DC converters and power circuits.
• Create schematics with OrCAD and manage PCB reviews with layout teams.
• Select components for space applications, considering radiation tolerance.
• Generate design documentation and verification data packs.
• Support hardware bring-up, test, and integration with spacecraft subsystems.
• Collaborate with systems, manufacturing, and test engineering.
