Job summary

Redwire Space in Littleton, CO seeks an Electrical Design Engineer (all senior levels) for hands-on circuit design of space-qualified power electronics hardware. You will design DC/DC converters, perform analyses, create schematics with OrCAD, and coordinate with layout engineers to ensure mission readiness.

You will leverage SMPS expertise, GaN FET experience, radiation considerations, and collaboration skills to deliver reliable space systems.

Qualifications

BS degree in Electrical Engineering.
5+ years designing electronic circuits using ECAD tools.
Experience with analog design and SMPS.
PCB layout collaboration with engineers.
Knowledge of radiation tolerance and space hardware considerations.

Responsibilities

Design and analyze high-efficiency DC/DC converters and power switching circuits.
Perform detailed circuit analysis including worst-case, stability, and thermal assessments.
Create schematics and documentation using OrCAD; manage PCB layout reviews.
Select components suitable for space applications with derating and radiation considerations.
Generate and maintain design packages for internal and customer reviews.
Support hardware bring-up and validation testing with spacecraft subsystems.
Collaborate with systems, manufacturing, and test engineering for production readiness.
