Job summary

The University of Utah is seeking a Space Coordinator to join its Academic Space Planning team. This early-career role provides a foundation in space planning, construction, architecture, design, facilities management, and project management, coordinating multiple renovation and space coordination projects across the campus.

The Space Coordinator will report to the Associate Director of Academic Space Planning and gain hands-on experience in strategic space administration and capital project

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree (or equivalency) + 2 years of related work experience or a master’s degree (or equivalency).
• Entry-Level position in the General Professional track.
• Preferences include space planning, facilities management or related fields.

Responsibilities

• Assist with renovation, relocation, and small-to-capital improvement projects from concept through occupancy.
• Coordinate meetings to define project scope, schedules, and budgets with stakeholders.
• Monitor budgets, milestones, and project risks; prepare status reports.
• Maintain the academic space inventory and assist in space allocation standards.
