Job summary

Space Systems Integration LLC in El Segundo, CA seeks a Modeling Simulation Software Engineer to join a fast-paced mission operations analytics team. You will develop and test space mission simulations, integrating tools into an automated trade study framework, and play a key role in requirements, design, and implementation.

The role requires a 9+ year background in aerospace/physics, strong programming skills (MATLAB, Python, C/C++, Java), LVC techniques, and active TS clearance with SCI

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in aerospace, astronautics, mathematics, or physics.
• Nine years of related experience.
• Proficiency in MATLAB, Python, Java, C#, or C++.
• Experience with live/virtual/constructive (LVC) simulation techniques.
• Experience with simulation tools STK, AFSIM, GMAT, or FreeFlyer.
• MATLAB and/or Simulink or similar scripting.
• Ability to prepare and deliver technical demos/presentations.
• Knowledge of satellite orbit mechanics and space systems.

Responsibilities

• Inform the U.S. Space Force acquisition decision process through modeling, simulation, and analysis.
• Develop and test simulation applications and integrate tools into an automated trade study framework.
• Define requirements, specify designs, and implement simulations and trade studies for mission operations.
