Job summary

The Boeing Space & Launch team in El Segundo, CA and Mesa, AZ seeks a Mid-level or Senior Modeling and Simulation Engineer to develop system models and simulations that support Space & Launch programs and proprietary missions. You will participate in all phases of the system lifecycle from ConOps through verification and operations.

Responsibilities include modeling and analysis to optimize performance, requirements management, and interface definition.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's, Master's or Doctorate in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry.
• Systems engineering experience involving requirements, decomposition, and verification.
• Experience with MATLAB, Python, or C++ at a high level.

Responsibilities

• Applies an interdisciplinary approach to plan, design, develop and verify a lifecycle balanced system of systems and solutions.
• Evaluates needs to define performance requirements and ensure compatibility of interfaces.
• Performs analyses to optimize system architecture and total system performance.
• Conducts analyses for affordability, safety, reliability, maintainability, and system safety considerations.
• Manages requirements processes, risk, issues, and technology readiness assessment.
• Develops and uses software tools for scheduling, resource allocation, and constellation-level analysis.
