Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering with 3+ years in Aerospace/Space/high-reliability industries
• SolidWorks experience required; familiarity with design for manufacturing
• Knowledge of materials and surface treatments for space use
• Experience with mechanical design fundamentals and engineering principles
• Some travel may be required
• ITAR programs experience or willingness to work on ITAR projects

Responsibilities

• Review and establish program requirements
• Own mechanical systems and coordinate cross-team interactions
• Develop 3D mechanism designs in SolidWorks
• Create manufacturing drawings with GD&T per ASME Y14.5
• Prepare design review packages in PowerPoint
• Maintain requirements traceability in Excel or Jama
• Assemble prototype and flight hardware in lab
• Ensure QA processes and AS9100 compliance
• Interface with customers, subcontractors, and manufacturers
• Follow a dynamic, multidisciplinary environment
