Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering; 3+ years in aerospace/high‑reliability industries.
• Experienced with SolidWorks.
• Knowledge of Design for Manufacturing (DFx).
• Familiar with materials and surface treatments for space use.
• Experienced with mechanical design principles and engineering fundamentals.
• Some travel may be required.

Responsabilités

• Review and establish program requirements.
• Own mechanical systems and coordinate cross‑team interactions for those systems.
• Develop and track schedules and meet deadlines.
• Develop 3D mechanism designs primarily in SolidWorks.
• Select materials and surface treatments.
• Perform preliminary analysis.
• Create manufacturing drawings using GD&T per ASME Y14.5.
• Create design review packages typically using Microsoft Power Point.
• Maintain requirements compliance matrices in Excel or Jama.
• Create assembly and build documentation in Microsoft Word.
• Interface with customers, subcontractors, and manufacturers.
• Follow internal QA processes and procedures per AS9100.
